Dawn of the Dead Press Stills issued in Spain by distributor Izaro Films in 1978

11 press stills or more precisely fotos de prensa, as they are referred to by distributors in Spain. Material intended to exhibitors. Sadly, my set is missing the "title card". The late Barcelona based distributor sold it on it's own ten days before I acquired the set. Needless to say, I am desperately looking to locate one.

Dawn of the Dead Press Sheet issued in Denmark by distributor Obel Film in 1980

"Zombie - Rædslernes Morgen" two-sided press sheet or more precisely Presseark, as they are referred to by distributors in Denmark. Material intended to exhibitors. Press sheet for the original 21st of January 1980 Copenhagen release. By the 6th of November 1981 re-release, distribution had moved from Obel Film to Saga Filmudlejning. Instead of printing new press sheets, a marker was used to mask Obel Film's credit on the front (e.g., 1) while Saga Filmudlejning stickers were affixed on the back (e.g., 1, 2).

Dawn of the Dead Pressbook issued in Ireland by Target International in 1980

"Zombies" 4 pages pressbook or more precisely "exhibitor's campaign book", as they are commonly referred to by distributors in the United Kingdom. Material intended to exhibitors. Just like the Target International quad posters issued in Ireland, the "When there's no more room in HELL" tagline was too censored from exhibitor's campaign books making sure advertisement would be made without it  While censoring the taglline was achieved by adding black paint on the quad posters, the tagline was cut out from exhibitor's campaign books. My copy was acquired through Vertigo Posters based in Ireland. Here's what Noel Devereux, Vertigo Posters' owner, had to share with me about it:

This pressbook came from the collection of the late Pat Billings who worked for the RTE TV Guide in Ireland. He had amassed a huge collection of pressbooks by the time he passed away several years ago now. I was lucky to buy some off his wife.

Pat would do the reviews in the TV guide of movies that were on the TV from week to week. I have to say though I don’t remember it on Irish TV, most probably been shown on one of the British channels.

Dawn of the Dead Press Stills issued in New Zealand by distributor United Artists in 1980

3 press stills. Material intended to exhibitors. Issued for both Australia and New Zealand, the press stills used in New Zealand have a United Artists "Auckland" stamp on the back making them New Zealand specific. Each still has a "ZD" reference number on the front. I actually own 3 out of a set of 12. This post will be updated as I acquire more stills to complete the set.
